NYCC 2018: ‘Deadly Class’ Releases New Teaser & Debut Date The show will hit Syfy in 2019

In true NYCC fashion, the panel for upcoming Syfy series, Deadly Class, shared a wealth of news with the audience including a new teaser, further castings, and the premiere date.

Based on the Image Comics title from Remender and Craig (who will be the series’ co-showrunners) Deadly Class centres around a private assassin’s academy called King’s Dominion and the introduction of homeless Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth) to the often murderous teenagers who attend it.

As well as those already cast, Deadline has leaned that the show has seen a number of new castings in the months since the Deadly Class crew were at SDCC.

Isaiah Lehtinen is set to play Shabnam, the academy’s resident bookworm, and Brian Posehn will play metalhead Dwight Shandy. But there aren’t only new students to contend with – stepping into the role of Beheading 101 teacher De Luca is Erica Cerra, psych teacher Scorpio Slasher will be played by French Stewart, and Olivia Cheng will be Master Gao, a 12th generation assassin, with a special connection to Benedict Wong’s headteacher Master Lin.

Deadly Class premieres on January 16th.
