Sniper Elite Developer Rebellion Acquires Radiant Worlds After the unexpected shelving of SkySaga: Infinite Isles left the firm in hot water

Rebellion, the team behind the Sniper Elite series have acquired game studio Radiant Worlds for an undisclosed sum. Radiant Worlds was left high and dry last year as production on the game they were working on, SkySaga: Infinite, was unexpectedly and indefinitely postponed.

Rebellion has swooped in to save the day and has acquired the studio (along with its 70 employees), re-branding it Rebellion Warwick. The team will be immediately drafted in to work on Rebellion‘s current line-up of games which includes the Sniper Elite series and third person co-op game Strange Brigade.

Rebellion CEO and co-founder Jason Kingsley OBE commented on the acquisition: “To bring such great people to the company, just after our 25th birthday, is quite remarkable, it’s been a great year for us and we have a lot of plans to help make 2018, 2019 and beyond bigger and even greater years for Rebellion.”

Radiant Worlds co-founder Phillip Oliver added: “We’ve known the Kingsleys for many years and have always had enormous respect for them and the company they’ve built. We know that our core values of creativity, passion, and ambition are mirrored by Rebellion, and we’re excited to be part of their amazing team.”

Good news all around then, be sure to check out the reveal trailer for Rebellion‘s upcoming title Strange Brigade below.
